Cancer prevention. Kader Kochi.

Neoplasm or cancer is a simple disease caused by uncontrolled division in a part of the body. The proliferated cells spread all over the body through the blood and lymph in a malignant stage. It destroys other tissues.

February 4th is celebrated as world cancer day every year to raise awareness about early symptoms and risk factors; and also to encourage early detection, prevention and treatment.

Incidences of cancers are increasing at a rapid rate in rural as well as urban regions. It has also become a major lifestyle disorder now.

Cancer development is multiple stage phenomenon. Various chemicals, heavy consumption of unhealthy foods, animal foods and soft drinks, starvation, malnutrition, negative emotions, steroids, metabolic disorders, degenerative process, ageing etc. can contribute towards the formation of acids and accumulation of toxins in the body. This leads to primary and secondary inflammations in different tissues, suppression of the immune system and finally result in cancer formation.

All individuals have some susceptibilities to certain diseases as well as self-healing power.  Natural medicines are helpful to promote this self-healing power through either stimulating, modulating the immune system or neuro endocrine system.

Our aim of treatment is to prolong life, to improve quality of life, and to rapid cure rather than symptomatic palliation. Many cancers have a high chance of cure if treated early and simply.

Some believe chronic diseases are related to fate and destiny. Treatment of chronic diseases depends on many factors. They include individual constitution, temperament, susceptibility, body response; diet style, living habits, duration of disease, season, environmental factors; nature of medicines, experience and attitude of physician.

We offer complete free homeopathic cure to all cancer susceptibilities, cancer related disorders and different systemic chronic cancers. Our medicinal treatment strategies are simple, most comprehensible, successful and based on natural principles.

We concentrate in cancer prevention and holistic healing through individual dietary and lifestyle changes, medicinal purification techniques, and prescription of the most effective natural medicines.& remedies.

Classification

There are two types of tumors known as malignant and benign. Benign tumors do not spread to neighboring tissues. The cells divide and grow uncontrollably and spread nearby parts in malignant tumors. They may also spread to more distant parts of the body through the lymphatic or blood stream. Cancer of lining membranes like vascular endothelium, or pleura are less malignant than those of other epithelial tissues. Growth of cancer may be slow or fast. Cancer of the stomach grows slowly. Thyroid, liver, and secondary cancers are rapidly growing types.

Types of neoplasm

Cancer

Malignant neoplasm derived from epithelial cells.
About 80% of all malignancies are carcinomas
(Epithelioma, melanoma, and carcinoma).

Sarcoma

Malignant neoplasm derived from connective tissue like bone, cartilage, fat, nerve, muscle, and fibrous tissue

Lymphomas

Lymphomas affect the lymphatic system. It is seen more in male. It is more common among people with inherited immune deficiencies, autoimmune diseases, HIV/AIDS, and among people taking immunosuppressant drugs following organ transplants. Human T-lymphotropic virus type I (HTLV-1) and Epstein-Barr virus are two infectious agents that increase the chance of developing non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Leukemias

Leukemias are cancers of the blood or blood-forming organs.

Germ cell tumor

Cancer derived from cells in ovary or testicle (Seminoma)

Blastoma

Cancers derived from embryonic cells

Benign epithelial tumour

Papilloma

Benign connective tissue tumors

osteoma, odontoma, chondroma, xanthoma, myxoma, lipoma, myoma, neuroma, glioma, fibroma, endothelioma etc.

Child hood cancers

Leukemia (34%), Brain tumor (23%) and Lymphoma (12%).

Incidence

Cancer incidence in male and female are 50% and 33% respectively.

Cancer incidence is about 1/10 in developed countries and 1/25 in African countries.

65% of total cancers occur in developing countries.

About 0.25% of the total population or 14 million new people are affected every year worldwide.

Invasive cancer is the leading cause of death in the developed countries and the second leading cause of death in developing countries.

Leading causes of premature death are myocardial infarction, lung cancer, accident, stroke, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, diabetes mellitus, prostate cancer, infective pneumonia, rectal cancer, suicide.

The most common causes of cancer death are cancers of lung, liver, stomach, colorectal, breast and esophageal cancer.

Most common cancers in male are lung, prostate, colorectum, stomach and liver cancer.

Most common cancers in females are breast, colorectum, lung, cervix, and stomach cancer.

Primary brain cancers are rare.

Incidence of breast cancer is less in women who have prolonged periods of breast feeding.

Early pregnancy, multiple pregnancy, and chronic irritation are risk factors in cervical cancer.

Stomach cancer is high in communities consuming table salt in excess.

Symptoms and signs of Cancer

The symptoms usually depend on type of growth/ ulcer, its locations, and its complications. Neoplasm can cause a variety of symptoms They include constant weakness and fatigue, pain, emaciation, swelling of the lymph nodes, frequent infections, chronic hoarseness, chronic cough, chronic dysphagia and indigestion, changes in bowel or bladder habits, unusual bleeding, unusual discharge, tender internal organs, unexplained inflammation and flu-like symptoms, bone or joint pain, obvious change in a wart or mole, chronic ulcer, lump in the breast or neck, a thickening in skin or mucus membrane etc.
The symptoms usually last more than months. Stomatitis and frequent throat infections are common in leukemia. Alternate constipation and diarrhoea are common in colon cancer.

Complication

High serum calcium, high serum uric acid, opportunistic infections, septicemia, spinal cord compression, oedema in the upper part of body due to superior vena cava syndrome, malignant serous effusions, and bleeding are common complications.

Diagnosis

Besides the routine clinical examinations, history taking, and laboratory (blood, urine, and sputum) tests, it can be detected through modern investigation techniques. They include estimation of tumor markers levels, diagnostic imaging {X-rays, computerized axial tomography (CAT scan), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and endoscopy}, biopsy, and smear examination.

Prognosis

Prognosis is good in childhood cancers. The survival rate in adults is about 60%, and in children is about 72%.It is estimated that 13% of all human deaths are caused by cancer.

Cancer prevention.

Primary cancer prevention is the elimination of the cancer by protecting the individual and community from the carcinogenic agents. Awareness should be started from childhood.

70% of all cancers are preventable easily with a healthy diet and protective lifestyle. Avoid all identified food and chemical carcinogens.  Elimination of body toxins through natural orifices primarily or neutralizing it with natural medicines periodically are required to lower the disease susceptibilities.

Modify or Avoid risk factors

Multiple factors may act together to cause normal cells to become cancerous.

Avoid obesity .Obesity and overweight is strongly linked to increased risk of some cancers. High lipids level in the body is associated with inflammations and increased sex hormones. It is estimated that about 30% of all cancers are obesity related. They include cancers of the breast, prostate, pancreas, uterus, colon, bone and ovary.

Prefer protective daily diet contain 65% from vegetable origin.

Avoid diets with high calories.

Avoid diet with high fat, hydrogenated oils or nickel added vegetable oil.

Reduce consumption of polyunsaturated fatty acids, cotton seed oil, peanut oil etc.
Vegetable oils are transformed to trans-fat on high temperature or repeated heating. Trans fat can lower the level of essential fatty acids in the body. They can also prevent the enzymatic inhibition to allergens.

Avoid fast food, heated rancid oil and fried food items.

Maintain waist /hip ratio index in male and female below 0.95 and 0.85 respectively.

Keep optimum body mass index (BMI).
Prefer low caloric, low fat diet.

Eat more omega-3 fatty acids and less omega-6 fatty acids. Omega-3 fatty acids are present in oily fish like salmon, tuna, trout, herrings and sardines; brussels, sprouts, mushrooms canola, mustard oil, olive oil, pumpkin, Bengal gram and nuts.

Omega-3 fatty acids have anti-inflammatory actions in the body.

Omega-6 fatty acids are present in sunflowers, safflower, dalda, corn, soy oils, fats of meat, and dairy products.

Omega 9 fatty acids are present in sesame, olive oil and almonds.

Prefer a diet rich in fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and fibre rich vegetables either to promote normal nutrition or to eliminate toxins that accumulate in the body from and along the food we eat.

Fiber rich food can inhibit bacterial growth and putrefaction. They also help cleanse the toxin of colon. Thus formation of carcinogenic bacteria by product are reduced. They are helpful to reduce hypercholesterolemia. High density cholesterol concentrations can promote normal tissue growth as it being an integral parts of cell membranes, and precursor of sex and steroid hormones. Prefer fiber contains items like brown rice, buckwheat, oats, barley, seaweeds, kelp and garlic.

Addition of sodium bicarbonate in cooking of highly acidic vegetables is beneficial for some individuals.

Avoid cooked items containing acrylamide. Acrylamide is formed during the process of frying the carbohydrate and protein more than 160 Celsius. It may be present in fried bread, cigarette smoke, chocolate, French fries, crackers, cookies, potato chips, coffee, burnt popcorn etc. It may promote cancer in the prostate and ovaries.

Avoid foods prepared with white flour. It contains kali bromate, sugar, and alloxan. These may promote breast, liver and pancreas cancer.

Prefer low acid vegetable diet. Eating a low glycaemic diet because of the sugar (with high Insulin) is direct fuel to cancer cells.

Avoid excess of processed carbohydrates like refined grains, refined sugar, fructose, corn syrup, white foods, white bread, cakes, crackers, candy and cookies. Excessive intake of refined sugar (acids) can cause loss of vitamins and minerals like calcium and zinc. They can cause reduction of WBC.

Hyperglycemia with Insulin resistance and high lipid level can cause abnormal cell multiplications.

Avoid cycad sugar (cycasin. It may promote cancer of liver and kidney).

Avoid food items prepared from genetically modified items including corn, soybeans and canola.

Avoid food items added with artificial sugar (sucralose, saccharin, mannitol, sorbitol, and aspartame-Birth defects, brain and bladder cancer), flavor like mono sodium glutamate (MSG-Brain), and color added sweets. (Kidneys).

Avoid excess food rich in animal protein. Avoid red meat in excess. Avoid processed meat products including sausage, bacon hotdogs. Sodium nitrate is added to meat to get a pinkish color and look fresh.
Kali nitrate or Sodium nitrate is converted to nitrosamines during the process of digestion in the intestine. Nitrosamines are also present in beer, cheese, fish by-products and tobacco smoke .Nitrosamines may cause brain tumor, cancer of colon and breast.

Avoid excess salted fish, dry fish (Fungus), farm-raised fish (Poly chlorinated biphenyls), and fish with preservatives- formalin (Nasopharyngeal cancer).
Avoid excess of shellfish, oysters, clams, lobsters and liver as it contains heavy metals (Lead, Mercury).

Avoidance of excess wheat may be better in some because it is difficult to digest (Gluten, contamination with Uranium).

Avoid food containing heterocyclic aromatic amines (over cooked meat, beef, fish, dark toast, smoked foods, bad flesh, fried, charred food).

Prefer meat of grass-fed and running animals.

Prefer lean meat, lean poultry, sea food, meat and eggs of cage free chickens in moderate quantity.

Prefer vegetable protein than animal protein.

Natural vitamins and minerals are less in food items now due to liberal use of pesticides, herbicides, and artificial fertilizers. Prefer organic foods because they are higher in nutrients and protective phytochemicals.

Avoid pesticides rich fruits. Eat a variety of foods like green banana, green mango, Berries with dark, blue, purple colour, alkaline fruits, green and yellow leafy vegetables.  Take fruit jam and fruit juice. Limit pineapple juice though it is rich in bromelain, manganese and vitamin C).

Prefer calcium rich vegetable diet for colon cancer.

Prefer zinc contain items like cashew nut than liver (prostate cancer)

Prefer magnesium rich foods-like green vegetables, alfalfa, green banana, pumpkin seeds, cashew nut, barley and spinach

Prefer arginine rich items like barley, banana, and peanut in ulcer type.

Correct the malnutrition (Acidosis; vitamin A, C, D, E; and copper deficiency).

Avoid excess folic acid rich items daily (Leafy greens, citrus fruits, carrot, beet root, peas and bean, and cauliflower. They may promote nasal and colon polyp).

Avoid excess carotenoids daily (carrots, leafy green vegetables, sweet potato, and onions. They may enhance the growth in skin and lungs)

Avoid table salt more than 2.5 gm /day.
High table salt in the body can promote desire to meat and fish, and aversion to bread. It can cause dry skin, loss of memory (due to less water in nerve tissue), anemia, throbbing headache, symptoms related to low spirit- anger, easily weeping mood, epilepsy, asthma, and discomforts with the changes in weather. It can also promote increased susceptibility to diseases. It may promote stomach cancer.

Take plenty of water daily to correct acid base imbalance and to eliminate toxins in the body.

Avoid water and rice contaminated with arsenic minerals.

Avoid excess of soft drinks as they are highly acidic. They contain caffeine, benzene and phosphoric acid. They can promote resorption of calcium and magnesium from bones. Excess of coffee can cause loss of minerals through urine. Excess sugar in fruit juice can also promote fungal infection in the intestine.

Avoid excess tea, coffee, and cocoa with sugar. (Fungus, acidic nature. They may promote cancer of oesophagus, gallbladder and liver).

Drink green tea without adding sugar or salt.

Avoid food items contaminated with aflatoxins and fungus. They include rice, food grains, pickle, peanut, corn power, coffee seeds, pepper, almonds, pistachio, coconut oil,  tobacco leaves, nuts, Garcinia gambogia, smoked ginger, cheese, ice cream, dry fish, and fish oil (Aflatoxin can promote liver cancer).

Avoid excess of tannic acid rich items (tea- cancer of esophagus and liver).
Avoid excess of manganese rich items (Pineapple).
Avoid excess of spices -cinnamon, cocoa, nutmeg, black pepper, basil (Safrole),and pepper (N-nitrosopiperidine)

Avoid food items that contain too many preservatives- kali bromate (It also present in drinking water, bread, cookies, biscuits, and crackers), kali nitrate, and sodium benzoate.

Avoid heavy consumption of food items rich in cyanide (Apricot seeds, almonds, blue potato, tapioca, amara beans, cherries, apple seeds, liquorice, mustard, cabbage, papaya, and shark cartilage).

Avoid exposure to silica containing dust. Excess silicea in the body may promote early bone degeneration and brain atrophy. This favours metastasis and calcification. Brain atrophy is the common cause for Parkinsonism and dementia. Phyto Silica contain items are potato (solanacea, nicotine, cyanides), peanut (aflatoxin-also), rice (arsenic), banana (endosulfan) and coconut (cocamide).

Avoid food items contained with acetaldehyde, acetone, acetic acid, ethanol, or its precursor. (Tobacco, sour tomato, alcohol, wine, and vinegar).

Practice 12 hour water fast or fruit juice fast twice in a week.

Increase period of breast feeding during lactation. Massage breast with oil twice in a month.

Tobacco

About 20% of all cancers are related to tobacco. Most affected organs are lungs, mouth, tongue, and pharynx. Avoid habits like sleeping with tobacco inside the cheeks.

Avoid Areca nuts and tobacco chewing.

Alcohol

About 10% of all cancers are alcohol related. Body uses many vitamins to detoxify alcohol from the body. Most affected organs are mouth, throat, oesophagus, larynx, liver, head and neck. Avoid excessive consumption of beer (Rectal cancer).

Radiation

About 10% of neoplasm are related to radiation. Radiation can break chromosomes or can trans locate genes. It can damage tumour suppressor genes.

Ionizing radiations include cosmic radiation, background radiation, nuclear power stations, X-rays, Gamma rays, solar radiation, ultra violet radiation and CT scan radiation. Ionizing radiations can affect nucleus functions directly and cellular functions through the endocrine systems.

Non-ionizing radiation includes mobile tower, mobile phone, television, sun light, laser, microwave, remote controls, electric power transmission, radio waves, thermal radiations, infra-red radiation, ultraviolet radiation etc. all these have some role in carcinoma-genesis .

Avoid items cooked in microwave and high heat (Popcorn –cancer of pancreas, lungs and testis).

Biological carcinogens

About 10% of all cancers are concerned with microbes

Virus

Human papilloma virus (cervix, skin),Herpes virus, Epstein - Barr virus (Infectious mononucleosis -nose, lymphoma), Kaposi's sarcoma,Hepatitis virus B, and Hepatitis virus C (liver),Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), Human T-cell leukaemia/lymphoma virus-I (HTLV-I)

Bacteria

Helicobacter pylori (stomach)

Parasites

Cancer healing with anti-carcinogens. Kader Kochi.

Anti-carcinogens are not only antioxidants but also involved in balancing enzyme activity inside cells. They block the carcinogens activities, formation of DNA adducts, formation of cancer cells, and early degeneration of normal cells. They include antioxidants, phytochemicals, phytoestrogens, (genistein, daidzein) and isothiocyanates (mustard oils, sulphur) etc.

Antioxidants are molecules that protect cells and mucus membranes. They are helpful to protect and repair DNA. They control the cells' multiplication and metastasis. The free radicals usually come either from metabolism to produce energy on the inside, or from the interactions with the environment. The cell damages and irregular cells multiplications caused by free radicals can be controlled with antioxidants.

Common antioxidants include vitamin A, vitamin E, vitamin C, vitamin D, selenium (sulphur), bio-flavonoids (Ellagic acid, Quercetin, Rutin), hormones (Melatonin), dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) etc.

Bioflavonoids are plant pigments responsible for the color of flowers, fruits, and sometimes leaves. They provide powerful protection against cancer and other diseases.

They are present in onion (bulb), garlic (bulb), basil (leaf), cabbage (leaf),  spinach (leaf), kale (leaf), cayenne pepper (fruit), coriander (fruit), cranberry (fruit), kidney bean (fruit), asparagus (root), dill (seed), soybean (seed), anise (seed), scarlet runner bean (whole plant), lima bean, tea, green tea, (leaf),thyme (whole plant), peppermint (whole plant), chamomile (whole plant), lettuce, blueberries, ginger, cumin, turmeric, ginkgo biloba, calendula, red wine etc.
