Echinacea angustifolia. Kader Kochi.


Synonyms

Purple cone flower, Black sampson.


Constituents

Perennial plant. Height 120 cm. Leaves, flowers, and root. Plant contains phenol compounds, echinacoside, cynarin, cichoric acid, alkylamides, essential oil, and polysaccharides.


Therapeutics

This is medicine for early stage of cold, tonsillitis, and upper respiratory infections.

It has antibacterial, antiviral, anti-putrefactive, anti-inflammatory, diaphoretic, aromatic, and stimulating activities.

It is medicine for influenza, and pulmonary congestion.

It is medicine for chronic pharyngitis, intestinal sepsis, typhoid, haemorrhoids, and gangrene. 

It is medicine for low white blood cell count.

It is medicine for wound healing, herpes, boils, and sepsis. 

It is medicine externally for old ulcers, bedsores, carbuncles, and chronic eczema.

It is medicine externally for scorpion sting, and snake bite. 

It promotes the flow of saliva, sweat, and urine (Mercurius).

It is a blood purifier.

It is medicine for vaginal infections.

It is remedy for anxiety.

It is remedy for autoimmune disorders.

It is remedy for recurrent herpes.

It is remedy for multiple sclerosis (Aconitum).

It is remedy for chronic bronchitis, rheumatoid arthritis, and collagen disorders.


Dose 

5 to 20 drops.
