Constituents
Perennial
flowering plant. Height 3 meters. Leaves and root. It contains sterols,
clerodolone, clerodone, caffeic acid, clerosterol, benzoic acid, phenolics,
saponin, scutellarin, hispidulin, glucuronide, and sugar. Bitter.
Therapeutics
This is
diuretic, laxative, cholagogue and antiseptic medicine.
It is medicine
for hepatomegaly, and fatty liver.
It is medicine
for constipation, dyspepsia, and intestinal worms (Leaf).
It is medicine
for fever.
It is medicine
for convulsion.
It is
medicine externally for snake poisoning, and scorpion sting.
It is
medicine externally with oil for impotence (Root).
It is
medicine externally with oil for alopecia, fungal infection, and wound
(Leaf).

for diabetes.

for bronchitis.

for leucorrhoea, urinary discomforts, and diarrhoea.
