Miasms are energetic tendencies which predispose an individual toward manifesting particular illness. Most miasms are either inherited or acquired during the course of an individual 's lifetime. Miasms may be acquired as a result of an infectious agent, the infection itself is not the miasm. Acquired miasms may be caused by exposure to a variety of noxious agents including toxic chemicals, bacteria, viruses and even radiation. They are stored in the subtle bodies, especially the etheric, emotional, mental, and astral bodies.

Salve is the medicinal substance from herbal or mineral origin used externally. Elixir is the remedy used internally in ultra nano dose.

Acquired miasms

Cyanide is one of the commonly acquired chemical miasms. Cyanide can be absorbed through skin as well as mucus membrane. Acute toxicity will take place if the dose is more than 0.5 mg / kg of body weight (> 35 mg /70 kg. 350 gms Apricot fruit seeds contain about 35 mg of CN).

Manganese toxicity usually occurs through chronic inhalation of urban dust, drinking water drained from black soil or black hill, and drinking cow milk (foliage contaminated with fungicide). Manganese toxicity is mostly developed in workers of mine, ores, battery factories, workshops, welding workshops, gasoline and petroleum industries. Chance for toxicity is more in  people have liver weakness those dwelling surrounding the factories. Neurotoxicity symptoms are due to cumulative action and are reversible in the early stage. Manganese is the fifth most abundant metal in the earth’s crust. The human body contains about 10 to 20 mg manganese only, of which 25% to 40% is in bone. The liver, pancreas, kidney, adrenal cortex, pituitary glands and brain contain traces of manganese. The body maintains stable tissue manganese concentrations through regulatory control of absorption and excretion. Manganese is absorbed through the small intestine and lungs. More than 90% of absorbed one is excreted via bile into the faces. After absorption most of it is bound to transferrin, albumin, and plasma alpha 2 macroglobulin. Manganese is stored mainly in mitochondria which is abundant in the liver, heart and pancreas. It acts as a catalyst and participates in metabolism of carbohydrate, protein and fat. The absorption rate is high in children. Biliary excretion of Mn is high in adults (Black stool). Chance for neurotoxicity is high in infants. Rate of absorption of manganese is slow but excretion is high in adults. The rate of absorption is high in alcoholics. Excretion is less in those who have liver insufficiency. Symptoms and signs of toxicity depend on exposure to manganese as well as health of intestine and the liver.

Whole blood concentrations range from.4 to 12 ug/L.

Mean serum concentrations 0.4 to 0.85 ug/L.

Manganese toxicity can be prevented by consuming a diet that contains Iron.  Prefer acidic food for they are helpful to promote absorption of iorn, and delay the absorption of manganese. Iron rich items are liver, red meat, fish, poultry, seafood, dates, raisins, spinach, sesame seed, beetroot and green banana.

Foeniculum vulgare (Fennel, large cumin) is helpful to promote elimination of excess minerals through bile.
