Constituents
Perennial evergreen plant. Height 4 meters. Flowers are white. Leaves, root, and bark. Plant contains vasicine, vasicinolone, sulphur, acetyl- benzylamine, quinazoline, phenolics, tannins, saponins, and sterols. Bitter.
Therapeutics
This is
bronchial mucolytic, and expectorant medicine.
It has anti-microbial,
anti -bacterial, anti-viral, anti -inflammatory, anti-hypertensive, and
anti-spasmodic properties.
It is medicine
for productive cough, asthma, and haemoptysis (Ipecac, Millefolium).
It is medicine
for chest congestion.
It is medicine
for diabetes, and hyperglycaemia.
It is medicine
for acute dysentery.
It is medicine
for dysfunctional uterine bleeding.
Flowers are
medicine for intestinal worm infestation, and thrombocythemia.
It is remedy
for autism, and depression.

for upper and lower respiratory tract infections.

for amenorrhoea.

for peptic ulcer (Glycyrrhiza).

for renal insufficiency with high blood urea level.
