Constituents

Biennial hermaphrodite plant. Height 2 meters. Seeds, leaves and flowers. Plant contains saponins, flavonoids, tannin, rotenone, iridoid, mucilage, fat, sugar, and volatile oil. Astringent. Flowers contain glycyrrhizin. 

Therapeutics

This is medicine for catarrhal complaints of upper respiratory tract and urinary tract.

It is safe medicine for productive cough.

It is a diuretic medicine. 

It is uterine anti-spasmodic medicine.

It is medicine externally for wound, and ulcer.

Flowers oil with olive oil is medicine externally for earache.

It is demulcent in haemorrhoids.

It is medicine externally for warts (Root).

It is remedy for chronic headache with ear complaints.

Mullein seeds are toxic to fish.

Word “mullein” (French) means soft.

Dose

5 to 6 drops.

Dilution.
