Thea sinensis. Kader Kochi.


Synonyms


Camellia sinensis. 


Constituents

Evergreen shrub. Height 2 meters. Flower are yellow white. Plant contain oxalate, fluoride, methylxanthine, theophylline, tannin, volatile oil, caffeine, and minerals.


Therapeutics

This is medicine for bronchial spasm, and dry cough. 

It is medicine for headache and weakness due to sun heat. 

It is medicine for sleepiness.

It is medicine externally for wound, and hair loss.

It is remedy for renal stone, and chronic kidney disease.

It is remedy for atherosclerosis.

It is remedy for chloasma.

One cup tea contains 40 mg of caffeine while coffee has 20 mg - 80 mg.

It was believed to have been first used in China around B.C 350. 

It was come to India in 1836. 

Word “Thea” means fire, and God. 

Word “Chaya” was originated from monk (Chinese). 

They used it in daily meditation to get enlightenment.


Dose

4 to 6 drops.

Dilution.
